Our History
Thank you for taking a look at our site. UGL has been making light products for fishing since the late 80s, starting with flounder gig lights. Back then those lights were made to help feed my family, and it was also fun. A good way to spend the night and stay out of trouble. There’s only some much mischief you can get into out in the marsh in the middle of the night. Who knows may have even kept me out of JAIL.

My light product has evolved quite a bit since then. Nowadays. All my light products are now LED products, and all are made of high quality, made to last. Nobody likes to buy something, and it breaks the first time you use it. In the beginning, I personally made all these products, so I know what they are and how they should perform. Nowadays due to high demand and volume, I am not able to keep up so we are outsourcing our products at the SAME high quality rather than me building each unit. We will continue to manufacture the highest possible standards to ensure our products will meet the quality that our customers have come to expect from UGL custom lighting.
